Painfully Funny

People set them up purely because they think they ought to and I’ve lost track of the “what should I make my blog about?” posts on Bulletin Boards. My answer is usually along the lines of - don’t bother until you have something to say, but occasionally one surfaces with a really interesting idea.

I came across one today that I should really call unusual rather than good. No, actually, it’s appallingly good in an atrociously bad kind of way.

Narcissus and his part in my family

Happy Thing

xmas.pngOffice decorations have been outlawed due to Health and Safety regulations. 70% of UK schools aren’t having a Nativity Play any more due to the fact it might offend other religions. ACAS, the arbitration and conciliation people have pointed out that if your office Christmas party doesn’t provide an age neutral entertainment package then you could be sued for ageism.

Manufacturing Bad Luck

Things will occasionally just appear out of the blue and slap us in the face like a wet kipper but some people seem to get more than their fair share. This morning I was talking to a friend who has permanent bad luck. Everything goes wrong for him to the point he now expects it to. His outlook on life is, expect the worst and then if it doesn’t happen it’s a nice surprise.
