Foxy Goodness
I’m a Firefox fan. I hate Internet Explorer and take every opportunity to get people to switch.
Why? Well apart from the accessibilty issues, and the standards issues, and the security issues, and the lack of update issues with IE, I just lurve the Firefox logo. It’s one of the first things that springs to mind when people say the words “Web 2″.
Microsoft are doing their utmost to modernise their IE logo but it’s just never going to compete with the Fox wrapped around the globe.
John and Leigh Hicks who designed the concept are also responsible for the Thunderbird logo. Love that too so surprise! I also use Thunderbird for my mail in preference to Outlook.
Now I’m not so shallow as to use software based purely on the logo alone. I genuinely believe that both of these products are better than the Microsoft counterparts and of course they’re completely free which is a bonus, but I have to admit that the logos helped to get me there in the first place.
Whilst wandering round the Mozilla web site I came across their shop with a new line in Firefox clothing and the logo has got me again, but this time, it’s not the slick Fox and Globe but a cute little chappie begging us not to hurt the web.
I don’t tend to wear branded clothing as I don’t see why I should advertise companies for free, especially when I’ve just handed over a pile of cash for the garment in the first place, but in this case, Mozilla has given me hours of safer surfing for free so I figure I’ll happily promote them for free.
Less cute and fluffy designs for the less cute and fluffy amongst you can be found at the Mozilla Store

Uber cuteness! The firefox plushies are simply adorable too. I’m currently having a debate with my inner self over whether to be good and wait until payday, or whether just to get the plastic out now.
