May 1st each year is officially Blogging Against Disablism day.
Started 3 years ago by Diary of a Goldfish, each year it goes from strength to strength with people from all walks of life posting interesting articles about their view of living with some sort of illness or disability, caring for the same or just people who care.

If you’d like to join in on the day, go register your blog site with the Goldfish.

This is one of those examples where you can honestly say, “it’s not like the old days”, and be pretty sure you’re not just looking back with rose coloured specs.
